Lagardère Travel Retail launches Tranzeet Deli at DXB, bringing New York deli culture to travellers
Lagardère Travel Retail has launched Tranzeet Deli at Dubai International (DXB), a distinctive new dining concept created exclusively for the airport environment. Inspired by the energy and character of New York's legendary delis and influenced by the design of urban transit networks, the concept combines handcrafted sandwiches and beverages with a design-led setting.
Tailored to the needs of today’s travellers, Tranzeet Deli offers a contemporary take on the classic deli experience, combining quality, convenience and choice. The menu brings together made-to-order all-day breakfast favourites, and signature deli sandwiches, blending classic deli traditions with globally inspired flavours.
Breakfast highlights include the First Stop BEC (Bacon, Egg & Cheese), Spice Souk Asian Toast and the DXB Riser, while standout sandwich favourites include the Reuben Junction, Skyline Pastrami on Rye and Downtown D'Italian. Guests seeking additional choice can create their own sandwich from a wide selection of artisan breads and fillings, with options to suit a variety of tastes and dietary needs.
Every sandwich is served with whole pickles on the side, reinforcing the authenticity of the traditional deli experience. Complementing the food offer is a selection of homemade iced teas, craft sodas, specialty organic coffees and premium teas, providing travellers with a diverse range of refreshments.
Designed and developed specifically for DXB, Tranzeet Deli was created to resonate with the airport's diverse international passenger mix. Blending a globally recognised deli format with a travel-inspired design and strong storytelling, the concept delivers an experience shaped by the needs, behaviours and expectations of today's traveller.
Drawing on the energy and movement of urban rail travel, the concept incorporates elements of both metropolitan transit networks and DXB's airport train system to create a distinctive airport dining experience. Design cues including carriage-style seating, overhead handrails and grab handles, riveted metal finishes and transit-inspired wayfinding evoking the atmosphere of a modern train journey, while menu boards, signage and packaging continue the theme throughout. The result is a cohesive environment that seamlessly connects the worlds of dining and travel.
Custom-created content displayed through carriage-style digital "train windows" further enhances the experience, taking guests on a journey through Dubai's deserts, historic neighbourhoods, traditional souks and modern skyline. Together, these elements create a strong sense of place, giving travellers a glimpse of Dubai from within the airport.
