Lagardère Travel Retail opens L'Officina, a new in-house dining concept at Warsaw Chopin Airport
Lagardère Travel Retail Poland is pleased to announce the opening of L'Officina, a new Italian restaurant at Warsaw Chopin Airport and the latest addition to its portfolio of proprietary dining concepts. Developed entirely in-house, L'Officina reflects the company's ambition to continuously enhance the airport dining experience through concepts tailored to local markets and evolving traveller expectations.
Located in the public arrivals area of Warsaw Chopin Airport, L'Officina brings a contemporary interpretation of Italian cuisine to passengers, airport employees, visitors and those welcoming arriving travellers. The restaurant offers a carefully curated menu centred around freshly prepared pizzas and focaccia, complemented by Italian snacks, artisan gelato, mini desserts and a selection of Italian wines, beers and premium espressamente illy coffee.
Designed by Lagardère Travel Retail Poland's teams, every aspect of the concept — from its visual identity and interior design to its menu and customer experience — has been created in-house. Combining speed of service with product quality, L'Officina has been specifically conceived to meet the needs of today's airport passengers while delivering a warm and welcoming Mediterranean atmosphere.
The opening comes as foodservice continues to play an increasingly important role within airport commercial ecosystems. Across Lagardère Travel Retail's network, the company continues to strengthen its Dining business by developing concepts that combine operational excellence, local relevance and strong customer appeal.
"Airports in Poland continue to see strong passenger growth, but spending on food & beverage is growing even faster. As a result, F&B is no longer seen as a complementary service, but as an important driver of both revenue and passenger experience. Our role is to turn these trends into concepts and formats that work in the airport environment and unlock the potential of growing passenger traffic," says Dariusz Sinkiewicz, Deputy CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail Poland.
Inspired by contemporary Italian lifestyle, L'Officina combines quality food with a relaxed atmosphere in a bright setting featuring vibrant shades of green and lemon yellow. Its offer has been designed to appeal to a broad range of travellers, providing freshly prepared, convenient and high-quality products suited to the airport environment.
"Pizza is one of the world's most universal food categories. It appeals to families, business travellers, groups of friends and solo passengers alike, regardless of age or nationality. For an airport environment, that broad appeal is a major advantage." says Maciej Gajkowski, Managing Director Foodservice at Lagardère Travel Retail Poland.
The opening of L'Officina also illustrates Lagardère Travel Retail's broader strategy of developing proprietary Dining concepts alongside its portfolio of international brands. By combining global expertise with local market knowledge, the company continues to create concepts tailored to the specific characteristics of each airport while delivering a consistent standard of quality and customer experience.
"In airport foodservice, a 'one concept fits all' approach is becoming less and less relevant. Travellers at different airports have different needs, travel patterns and expectations. While we continue to develop international brands, proprietary concepts are playing an increasingly important role, allowing us to create offers tailored to the specific characteristics of each location. L'Officina is a great example of this approach – a concept developed by our local team in Poland, drawing on the experience and expertise we have built across airports throughout Europe" says Lucio Rossetto, Regional COO Europe & North America at Lagardère Travel Retail
