On track to reduce our impact
We are taking crucial steps to reduce emissions across our entire value chain: 42% reduction on our Scopes 1 & 2 emissions, and a 25% absolute reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030, the most significant contributor to our overall footprint. Our transition plan is built on collaboration with suppliers, energy efficiency initiatives, and responsible product guidelines, ensuring that sustainability is embedded in every aspect of our operations.
Our plan and strategy are built according to scientific, concrete and measurable indicators. In 2025, our carbon reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a milestone that confirms our commitment to an ambitious carbon emissions reduction. This recognition reflects the robustness of our approach and our determination to lead the transformation of Travel Retail toward a low-carbon future.
Our carbon strategy, We Care for Climate, focuses on where impact is greatest and translates ambition into measurable milestones. Our commitment extend on 3 scopes :
Our 25% target has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2025. To achieve this, we focus on four major levers:
- Supplier decarbonization strategy (60% of impact)
- Low-carbon meals (15%), including halving beef volumes and reaching 30% plant-based proteins
- Low-carbon textiles (8%), with 80% of volumes in recycled or certified fibers
- Refurbished electronics (3%), scaling second-life products to 30% of our electronics offer
Our roadmap is reinforced by industry partnerships, clear guidelines for responsible products, and initiatives like our global anti-waste program FLOW. Together, these actions make our climate ambition tangible for travelers and measurable for stakeholders.
SBTi, A ScienceBased Validation of Our Climate Trajectory

In 2025, our carbon reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), marking an important milestone in our transition journey. This validation confirms that our roadmap is aligned with the Paris Agreement and grounded in methods recognized by climate science. It also reflects the quality of the data we use, the robustness of our baseline, and the clarity of the levers we activate across all scopes.
SBTi validation is given according to very rigorous standards and requires clears demonstration of action and meticulous data collection, proving that our initiatives can deliver realistic, measurable and lasting reductions, along with a solid governance and long-term visibility. SBTi validation is the most challenging to achieve nowadays and prove our commitment to take leadership role in the sustainable transformation of our industry.
For our stakeholders, this is a guarantee of trust: our commitments are independently assessed, comparable across sectors, and aligned with international expectations. It strengthens our ability to drive change with our partners, engage our teams, and contribute meaningfully to the transformation of Travel Retail.
